For its 51st edition, an exceptional weekend at the largest historic air show in France
It was in 1970 at the Cerny – La Ferté-Alais aerodrome that the first event organised by a few enthusiasts under the name of Fête Aéro-folklorique… the Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis (AJBS), in collaboration with the Aéro-Club de France, proposed a return to the roots with the theme of the “Fête Aérienne”. Since then, “Le Temps des Hélices”, traditionally organised at Pentecost, has become an unmissable event of the meeting season in Europe, with its line-up and its ground entertainment or the fireworks display. Every morning, the public can get up close to the planes via the static exhibition and talk with the pilots and mechanics. Various activities are on the program (signing sessions, parade of vintage motorcycles and cars, historical reenactment troupes, etc.). The afternoon is specially dedicated to flight presentations with a show lasting more than 5 hours including a hundred aircraft flying in the sky of Essonne. The show unfolds the history of aeronautics through thematic tableaux, from the time of the pioneers to the latest generation of aircraft, both civil and military.
