GLV-5 LowFly Area Oirschotse Heide the Netherlands

298 Squadron

298 Squadron flies the Chinook transport helicopter. This transport helicopter can quickly transport ground troops, equipment, weapons and other supplies. The Chinook also conducts casualty transport and search and rescue operations. In addition, the Chinook can be used in firefighting operations. This squadron is based at Gilze-Rijen Air Base.

300 Squadron

300 Squadron is equipped with Cougar transport helicopters and is stationed at Gilze-Rijen Air Base. These transport helicopters have various tasks: from maritime and amphibious operations from naval ships to national tasks, such as extinguishing natural fires and cooperating with the Special Intervention Service.
