Abingdon Air and Country Show - United Kingdom 2012

It's not just an air show! The Abingdon Air & Country Show has a varied ground show to go along with the large scale fly-in of both modern and vintage aeroplanes and the associated air display.

Ground displays include Hawk Falconry demonstration, Ferret Racing, Punch & Judy Show, Formula One Car, assorted Kids amusements, Trade Stalls & Crafts, Flight Simulators, aircraft cockpits to sit in, Oxford Harmony Accapella group, Viv O'Gara Irish Dancers, Vintage Vehicles, Live Music by Rock artist Rick Chase, Abbey Brass Band, Arena Displays including MG Car Works Parade around the ring and Vintage Police Car parade around the ring, 'Vale Islanders'. World War Two Encampment, Dukes of Hazzard 'General Lee' car and more!

Flying Display Aircraft.

The afternoon Flying Program is normally of around 3 hours duration, including some of the best military and civilian performers on the airshow circuit.

Static Display Aircraft

Royal Netherlands Air Force Pilatus PC7, RAF Merlin, DH60 Moth, Tiger Moth, Chipmunks, Bulldog, Zenair Zodiac, Luscombe, TB10, Auster, C172, Harvard, Stearman, Jodel, ex German Air Force OV-10 Bronco and more plus - apart from the RAF Hawk and BBMF Spitfire which are touring items - all other Air Display acts are operating out of Abingdon and will be on static display.

Vintage & Classic Vehicles

With vintage and classic vehicles of all types attending we normally have a selection ranging from classic cars, police cars, buses, ex- military vehicles, miniature steam engines, a steam roller to an American Lorry (Rig). The Abingdon MG Car Works Rally join us, with road runs from locations around the region to meet at the show, with assorted MGs expected to be on display. We also welcome vintage motorbikes.
